Jon Shaw

MANAGING PARTNER

Jon started his career as a proprietary bond trader at Barclays Capital on the Illiquid Credit desk before the financial crisis desk where he focused on hard to value debt securities. He then set up and built out the Swiss Franc credit trading desk in Zurich for Barclays during the crisis. 

He built a financial data business, SGDA from 2012-2016 gaining support from over 30 investment banks and with one of the most capable boards in the City. Jon founded Shawpoint in 2017 based on experiences from SGDA to help other businesses and entrepreneurs.

Simon co-founded Fenchurch Advisory Partners, the leading independent UK FIG investment bank.

Simon was the Director of Strategy and Director of e-Business at Prudential Plc. and started his career at Boston Consulting Group where he was a partner in the Financial Services Practice.

Simon is Chair of University of Bedfordshire and Chair of Development and Finance for the National Academy for the Mathematic Sciences.

He studied Mathematics at Cambridge and Economics as a Kennedy Scholar at Harvard.

Mike was at Morgan Stanley, London in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking team for nine years and latterly spent two years at leading financial institutions M&A specialist firm Fenchurch Advisory Partners.

He started his career at PwC in Banking and Capital Markets, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant (FCA).

Throughout his career, he focused on FinTech and all of its subsectors. He has extensive experience in M&A, equity capital raises, IPOs, valuation and strategic reviews.

He studied Engineering at Oxford University.

Mark enjoyed a 20 years career at the Jardine Matheson group with a track record in senior leadership roles for international retail and engineering businesses. For three years Mark was CEO of Dairy Farm International’s Singaporean and Cambodian food retail business, he then spent eight years as CEO and CFO of the Jardine Motors Group in the UK and prior to that held senior financial positions in Jardine’s heavy equipment & coal mining, construction and aviation businesses in Greater China and SE Asia.
 
Mark started the first 9 years of his career in corporate recovery and business turnaround for PwC, London and Coopers & Lybrand, Auckland.
 
He studied Accounting at Auckland Technical University.

Michael started his career in PwC’s SME corporate advice and Audit group and he is an ACA qualified Chartered Accountant.

He then spent 7 years as a consultant for A T Kearney in their Financial Services practice providing strategic advice to clients.

He has 10+ years as a COO at Barclays Capital and other banks integrating a number of acquisitions and building the necessary infrastructure.

Michael studied Engineering at Durham University.

Siobhan was most recently based in New York as a Director of Business Operations at Stifel, which acquired Moreland, a US M&A firm, where she was Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to banking Siobhan was CFO and Financial Controller in a number of UK companies. 

Siobhan is a qualified accountant and has a degree from Exeter University in Chemistry.

Dan qualified as a solicitor with Nabarro Nathanson in London. He then became Senior Counsel at the London Stock Exchange and then at General Counsel at Tradition, the world’s third largest interdealer broker.

He then became co-head of Tradition’s EMEA business managed out of London. He sat on multiple advisory boards and committees and within Tradition he was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

Gopal has over 20 years M&A experience at Morgan Stanley, UBS, Mizuho and Nomura.

He has significant experience working with private equity firms and is a keen angel investor.

He started his career as an entrepreneur developing  India’s first electronic tax filing system, Tax Bazaar.

Jose is a qualified lawyer with 14 years experience in M&A and Strategic Advisory, the majority with Monitor Deloitte and latterly at Alantra Corporate Finance, having started his career at Banco Espirito Santo Investment Banking.

He has been involved in most of Spain’s most important FIG deals.

He was co-founder of Zero1 Capital, a FinTech company in Supply Chain Finance.

Jose studied Law and Business at UCM and took a masters degree at IE.

Roger was Group CEO of LCH.Clearnet, one of the world’s most important financial infrastructure companies providing clearing services the world’s largest stock exchanges and the OTC market. Prior to this he worked at Citibank and Goldman Sachs where he was Global Head of Operations based in New York.

Roger began his career in mining as manager of a UK coal mine in Kent during the 1980s. He has served on a number of financial infrastructure and mining boards including Euroclear.

Roger studied mine engineering at Nottingham University.

Stuart was European Head of ABS Trading and Sterling FRNs at Barclays Capital where he led the team trading residential and commercial ABS.

Stuart studied a Masters at the University of Nottingham and an undergraduate degree from Leeds University.

Nawaz is CEO of Issufy, an equity markets IPO platform, for investment banks and asset managers. Previously he worked at Citi where he held a variety of roles in equity sales, trading and strategy, including Head of Emerging Markets Equity Trading Strategy and also at JP Morgan Asset Management and Private Bank in Asia.
Nawaz has significant experience in corporate strategy, financing and investing.

Nawaz read Economics at the London School of Economics, and took an MBA from the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Patrick has over 30 years experience in the International Executive Search business and has been involved in the building, sale and disposal of several recruitment businesses, more latterly the Hanover Search Group, which he started in 1995 and sold in 2014.


His area of expertise is in the Global Family Office, MFO, UHNW and Wealth Management sectors acting in both a recruitment and advisory capacity.
